The Biographer | Leopold I Archive
In this episode of our series ‘The Biographer' we present a first-ever publication. Based on the king's private correspondence, Gita Deneckere (University of Ghent) wrote the book Leopold I. De eerste koning van Europa (Leopold I. The first king of Europe) and she will share her findings with the audience. Harold Polis (publisher De Bezige Bij Antwerp) will give an introduction, followed by a conversation between our regular moderator Greet Op de Beeck and Deneckere. The evening takes place at BELvue, the neighbours of the Royal Palace. Who can imagine a more suitable location?
Organization: deBuren in collaboration with De Bezige Bij Antwerpen and BELvue
