Rachida Lamrabet is a Flemish lawyer and author of Moroccan origin. In 2008, she received the Debut prize for her novel, Vrouwland. In 1995 that same prize went to Paul Mennes for his first novel, Tox. Mennes has published steadily since then, often targeting in his own satirical way the superficial consumption culture. Kamermuziek (2007) is his most recent novel.
