Radiobooks: Michelangelo Pistoletto Archive
Thursday 13 March 2008 - 20.00 > 21.30
MoMu | Nationalestraat 28 | 2000 Antwerp
Radiobooks are stories commissioned by deBuren and written and read aloud by Dutch and Flemish writers. The stories are not published but can be heard as a podcast or downloaded. The Radiobooks are also broadcast in collaboration with our partners and can be heard on Klara and the Radio Nederland World Service.
This spring deBuren will for the first time present Radiobooks in French. The series commences with Caroline Lamarche, Jacques De Decker and Michelangelo Pistoletto.
The Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto needs very little introduction. Since he exchanged the classical self-portrait for a reflecting canvas it has been impossible to imagine art history in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries without him. Pistoletto wrote a Radiobook as part of the collaboration between deBuren and Cittadellarte. The aim of this social project, initiated by Pistoletto, is to create a new relationship between the artist and society. Pistoletto will read his Radio Book in English at a special venue, namely the Fashion Museum (MoMu) in Antwerp, at the opening of a retrospective exhibition by the Flemish designer Veronique Branquinho.
