Last year ‘het Lam Gods' (Adoration of the Mystic Lamb) underwent a thorough examination, thanks to the support of The Getty Foundation. The world-famous artwork turned out to be in a far worse condition than previously thought. The climate in the glass construction is terrible, the layers of varnish need to be removed and the panels are in a worrisome state. Attend the lecture by Anne van Grevenstein-Kruse (University of Amsterdam). She will lead the restoration of ‘het Lam Gods', a project that will take five years and will cost 1.4 million Euros.
