The series ‘Het Vaderhuis | De Moederschoot’ (House of the father | Womb of the mother) includes discussions between academics and artists and is moderated by Dr. Henriëtte Louwerse (University of Sheffield). The encounters have a fixed outline: first short lectures, followed by a panel discussion and finally a debate with the audience. Guests are the controversial Dutch-Moroccan social critical rapper Salah Edin (Abid Tounssi) and the Surinam-Dutch musician Edgar Burgos, known from the song ‘Wasmasjien’ (Trafassi).
