There are experiments going on with privatized warfare on a large scale at the front lines in the Middle East. For every 10 soldiers in Iraq, there is one ‘private soldier'. In what way do these soldiers differ from the former ‘mercenaries'? What are the benefits and disadvantages of the privatization of warfare?
